What comes with the Ultimate Edition
Ultimate is the same game with extra digital content attached. Not a longer story, not an extra city, not a different map: bonus items that sit on top of a release everyone gets on the same day. Rockstar sells it at $99.99, twenty dollars over Standard, and the contents are printed on the PlayStation and Xbox pages where you buy it.
That store page is the source we point you at rather than repeating a list here, and the reason is practical. Bonus bundles are the part of a release that varies most between stores, regions and promotions, and a fan wiki copied from a screenshot in another country is not a receipt. Open the page, read the block under the edition name, then decide. It takes less time than reading a comparison article about it.
What is the same in both editions is everything that matters to the game itself. Same story, same Leonida map, same two leads, same November 19, 2026 release, same four consoles, same digital delivery. Nobody buying Standard is playing a cut down version.
The Vintage Vice City Pack
The pre-order bonus is the Vintage Vice City Pack, listed with the Standard Edition for orders placed before November 20. It is the one deadline on this page that costs you something if you miss it, and it is tied to ordering early rather than to paying more.
Pre-orders have been open since June 25, 2026 on both console stores, and a PlayStation Store pre-order also carries a month of GTA+. None of that is early access: no early access programme has been announced for GTA 6, so the game unlocks for everyone on the same date regardless of edition or how early you paid.
Is the extra $20 worth it?
Twenty dollars on top of eighty is a 25 percent increase, which is a lot for content that does not change the game you actually play. Here is the short version of the decision.
Take Standard if you want Grand Theft Auto VI and nothing more. Pre-order before November 20 and the Vintage Vice City Pack comes with it anyway.
Take Ultimate only after reading the item list on your own store page and deciding those specific extras are worth $20 to you.
Do not assume an upgrade from Standard to Ultimate will exist later. Rockstar has not committed to one, so treat the choice as final.
Ignore edition based hype about early access or exclusive missions. Neither has been announced for either tier.
