Sep 2022 The big leak Incident 90 clips of early development footage leak online. Rockstar confirms authenticity; development continues unaffected.
Dec 2023 Trailer 1 and the return of Vice City Trailer The reveal trailer confirms Vice City, Lucia and a 2025 launch window. About 93M YouTube views in the first 24 hours, a record at the time (figures as reported in December 2023).
May 2025 First delay + Trailer 2 Delay The game slips from 2025 to May 26, 2026. Trailer 2 softens the blow with around 475M views in 24 hours across all platforms; the 24-hour record on YouTube alone still belongs to Trailer 1 with about 93M (figures as reported in May 2025).
Nov 2025 Second delay, now November 19, 2026 Delay Rockstar moves the date again, from May 26 to November 19, 2026. That is the date the game is scheduled for today.
Jun 25, 2026 Pre-orders open Milestone Announced in the Newswire on June 18, pre-orders go live on June 25 in the PlayStation and Xbox stores. Two editions, digital only: Standard for $79.99 and Ultimate for $99.99.
