No official install size for Grand Theft Auto VI has been announced. The 150 GB figure floating around is a community estimate based on the scale of GTA V (which needed about 100 GB on PS5) and the expected map and asset density of the new game. Rockstar and the storefronts have not listed a required storage space yet.
What is confirmed is that GTA 6 releases November 19, 2026, digitally only, on PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. Physical discs are not part of the launch, so every copy will require a full download. Given that GTA V’s Enhanced Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X took around 100 GB, a 150 GB or larger install for GTA 6 is a reasonable expectation, but treat it as speculation until Rockstar updates the store pages.
PC version and storage
There is no PC version announced, so no system requirements or PC install size exist yet. If you are planning storage, assume 150 GB to 200 GB to be safe, but do not treat that as a confirmed number.
