Rockstar has not confirmed the install size for Grand Theft Auto VI, and neither the PlayStation Store nor the Xbox Store currently lists one. The 150 GB figure circulating online is a community estimate based on GTA V’s post-launch bloat and the expected scale of Leonida, not a number from official channels.
What we do know: GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026 as a digital-only title on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No physical disc means the full game must be downloaded, and day-one patches are likely to push the actual footprint higher than whatever the base install lands at. GTA V on current consoles sits near 100 GB with updates, so a 150 GB starting point would not be surprising, but treat it as speculation until Rockstar updates store pages near launch.
Why there is no official number yet
Install sizes are usually published closer to release, often a few weeks before. Even then, the listed size can change with updates. If you are planning storage, budget for at least 200 GB free on your console to avoid a scramble, but adjust once Rockstar posts real data.
