GTA 6 preorders close on the game’s release date, November 19, 2026. You can place a digital preorder on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S right up until the game unlocks globally that day, as detailed in our pre-order guide. After launch, the preorder window simply ends and the game sells as a normal digital title.
Preorder bonus deadline
The Standard edition’s Vintage Vice City Pack bonus has a tighter cut-off. Rockstar’s Newswire states you must preorder by November 20, 2026 to get it, meaning you have until the day after launch. The Ultimate edition at $99.99 includes the same pack regardless of order date, plus a month of GTA+ if bought through the PS Store.
Preorders opened June 25, 2026, following the Newswire announcement on June 18. There is no physical disc, so you cannot avoid the digital-only requirement by buying at a retail store. If you want the bonus, order before November 20; if you just want the game, you can wait until launch day and still get it.
