Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, worldwide for PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar confirmed this date after previous delays, and it applies to all regions. The game will be available only as a digital download, so there is no physical disc edition for PS5 or any other platform.
The release date was first announced as 2025, then moved to May 26, 2026, and finally to November 19, 2026. Rockstar has not called this date “final,” but no further changes have been announced. Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, and the PS Store pre-order includes a bonus: the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+. No PC version has been announced, and no performance details such as frame rates or resolution have been confirmed for PS5 Pro or the base console.
If you are planning to buy on PS5, you can pre-order now through the PlayStation Store. The standard edition costs $79.99, and the Ultimate edition costs $99.99. For the latest updates on the schedule, see the release date page, and for platform specifics, check the platforms page.
