Grand Theft Auto VI drops November 19, 2026. Rockstar confirmed the date in its June 18, 2026 Newswire post, and both the PS Store and Xbox Store pages list it as the release day. It is a simultaneous global launch, with no regional early access or staggered rollout.
The game is digital only, so there is no physical disc on day one. It launches exclusively on PlayStation 5, including the PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version is not announced, not dated, and no window like “2027” has been given by Rockstar or Take-Two.
What changed along the way
The release was originally promised as “2025” in Trailer 1. Rockstar later moved it to May 26, 2026, then pushed it again to the current November 19, 2026 date. The word “final” has not been used officially, but both storefronts currently hold that date.
If you are waiting on PC, there is no official answer. For context, GTA V reached PC 19 months after its September 2013 console launch, but that gap is not a promise for GTA 6. Preorders opened June 25, 2026, with the Standard edition at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99.
