Rockstar formally announced the GTA 6 release date on June 18, 2026, via a Newswire post that confirmed November 19, 2026, as the global launch day. Pre-orders opened one week later, on June 25, 2026, for both the Standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate edition at $99.99.
The date itself had been narrowed down earlier. The game was originally scheduled for 2025, then delayed to May 26, 2026, and finally pushed to November 19, 2026. Rockstar did not use the word “final” when confirming the date, though no further delays have been reported since.
Physical copies are not part of the launch, so the date applies only to digital releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been announced, so that platform has no release date at all.
