Grand Theft Auto VI will not have a physical disc edition. Rockstar confirmed on June 18, 2026 that the game launches digitally only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, so no retailer will offer a boxed copy. Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, exclusively through the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store, depending on your console.
The pre-order page covers the two editions available: Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99. The Standard edition includes the Vintage Vice City Pack if ordered before November 20, 2026. The PlayStation Store pre-order also adds one month of GTA+. No physical collector’s or special edition has been announced, and none is planned according to current listings.
If you prefer owning games on disc, this title will not support that option. Your choice is between the two digital editions, and the price difference is $20. The Ultimate edition likely includes extra in-game content, but Rockstar has not detailed its contents beyond the base game. Pre-ordering early secures the Vintage Vice City Pack, which is the only timed bonus confirmed so far.
