PS5 Pro is not the sole platform for GTA 6. Rockstar confirmed the game launches on the entire PlayStation 5 family, which includes the base PS5, the PS5 Slim and the PS5 Pro. The Xbox Series X and Series S are also supported at launch.
What is not known is how the PS5 Pro version differs from the base PS5. Rockstar has not announced performance modes, frame rate targets or any Pro-specific enhancements like ray tracing or higher resolution. Those details are expected closer to release, but nothing is confirmed.

There is no physical disc. The game is digital only, so you will not need to worry about which console version you buy, just which store you buy it from. Preorders opened June 25, 2026. If you own a PS5, you will be able to play it. The Pro is optional, not required.
