As of September 1, 2026, Grand Theft Auto VI is locked to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. It launches November 19, 2026, as a digital-only release. A PC version has not been announced, dated, or even hinted at by Rockstar or Take-Two. Without a PC version, there is nothing to put on Steam.
Rockstar has not given any release window for PC, not even a vague 2027 or later. Any store page you see claiming GTA 6 on Steam is fake or speculative. The company has not named a PC platform at all, so Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar’s own launcher are all unconfirmed possibilities.
Past pattern suggests a delay
Grand Theft Auto V reached PC 19 months after its console launch, from September 2013 to April 2015. If Rockstar follows a similar gap for GTA 6, a PC version could land around mid-2028, but that is a guess, not a fact. The official position is simple: no PC version exists yet.
If you want GTA 6 on day one, you need a PS5, PS5 Pro, or Xbox Series X|S. For Steam, you will have to wait for an announcement that may not come until after the console release.
