GTA 6 is not coming to Switch 2. Rockstar has officially confirmed the game only for PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S at launch on November 19, 2026. No Switch 2 version has been announced, and Nintendo’s console is not listed on any official store pages or Rockstar Newswire posts.
The absence is not a surprise. GTA 6 is built around the current generation of hardware, and the Switch 2 is significantly less powerful than PS5 or Xbox Series X. Rockstar has not addressed Switch 2 at all, and there are no credible reports of a port in development.
If you want to play GTA 6 on day one, your only options are PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. A PC version is also not announced. Expect any possible Switch 2 version to come years after the console release, if it ever happens at all. Treat any claim of a Switch 2 port as a rumour until Rockstar says otherwise.
