There is no roadmap, no season pass and no announced DLC. That is unusual in 2026, when most large releases publish a content calendar before launch, and it follows directly from GTA 6 shipping as a single-player game with no announced online component.
Two different kinds of update
Patches
These are certain and they will come fast. A Rockstar launch of this size produces a day-one patch and then a run of fixes through the first weeks. GTA V and Red Dead 2 both saw multiple corrective updates inside their first month. Expect the same, and expect the first one to download before you can play.
Content
Entirely unannounced. Rockstar’s single-player expansion history is thin and old - GTA IV had two substantial episodes in 2009 and 2010, and nothing since. GTA V’s story mode received essentially no added content across a decade, because the studio’s attention went to GTA Online instead.
Why the online question decides this
If a multiplayer mode eventually launches, it brings a content cadence with it - GTA Online ran on roughly quarterly major updates for years. If it does not, GTA 6 behaves like a finished game that receives fixes. Since the mode has not been announced, neither pattern can be predicted with any confidence.

What the Ultimate edition includes
The higher-priced edition carries in-game bonuses rather than a content pass. It is not a season pass by another name, and buying it does not entitle you to future updates that have not been announced.
