Yes, Grand Theft Auto VI releases exclusively as a digital download on November 19, 2026. Rockstar confirmed there is no physical disc edition for either PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. If you want to play on day one, you need a digital pre-order from the PS Store or Microsoft Store.
The Standard edition costs $79.99, and the Ultimate edition costs $99.99. Pre-orders opened June 25, 2026, following the Newswire announcement on June 18. The Standard pre-order bonus is the Vintage Vice City Pack if you order before November 20. A month of GTA+ comes with PS Store pre-orders.
Physical media collectors are out of luck for now. Rockstar hasn’t announced any limited physical run or collector’s disc, and there’s no deluxe or special edition either. The only two editions are Standard and Ultimate, both digital.
