What platforms will GTA 6 be on?

Short answer

GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. No PC version is announced or dated as of September 1, 2026.

Updated Gameplay

Grand Theft Auto VI will be available on PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S when it releases worldwide on November 19, 2026. Those are the only two platforms confirmed by Rockstar Games across its official Newswire posts and store listings.

There is no PC version announced, and no release window has been given for one. Take-Two has not hinted at a 2027 port, and Rockstar’s own marketing materials only mention the two consoles. Any talk of a PC launch date is speculation, not fact.

What about the last generation?

GTA 6 is not coming to PS4 or Xbox One. The game was built for current hardware from the start, and Rockstar has never listed the older consoles on any store page. If you want to play it, you need one of the two current platforms.

Physical discs are not part of the launch either. The game is digital-only, so your platform choice also decides your store, PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store. Preorders opened on June 25, 2026, with the Standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate at $99.99.
