What systems will GTA 6 be on?

Short answer

GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. No PC version has been announced, and the game is digital-only with no physical disc.

Updated Gameplay

GTA 6 will run on PlayStation 5 (including PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S when it releases worldwide on November 19, 2026. These are the only confirmed platforms at launch; Rockstar has not mentioned a PC release or given any window for one, so any talk of a 2027 port is pure speculation.

You will need a digital copy. There is no physical disc for any edition, so your purchase happens through the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store. Preorders opened June 25, 2026, with the Standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate at $99.99. If you preorder the Standard before November 20, you get the Vintage Vice City Pack, and PS5 buyers also receive a month of GTA+.

What about the older consoles?

None. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are out of the picture entirely, and there is no separate last-gen version. The game also ships as a single-player experience, with no standalone online mode announced for GTA 6 yet, despite what fan theories suggest about “GTA Online 2.”
