Rockstar’s official GTA VI material names six major areas across Leonida: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers and Mount Kalaga National Park. The list shows a state designed around contrasts between dense streets, coast, industry, wetlands and inland wilderness.

Vice City provides the urban centre

High-rise districts, beaches, traffic and nightlife give the city a faster rhythm and a larger concentration of people and cameras. Vice City can compress travel between contacts, businesses and public events while keeping the player visible inside a crowded urban environment. Regional identity becomes stronger when architecture and local routines remain recognisable after the most famous landmark is no longer visible.

Movement here is likely to feel different from a remote road even before any mission objective is considered. Jason and Lucia can encounter different kinds of opportunity and risk when the people, transport and visibility change together from one region to another. A believable open world needs smaller communities and ordinary businesses between major landmarks so distance carries narrative as well as visual meaning.

The Keys stretch movement across water

Island roads and open sea create longer sightlines while boats can become practical transport rather than occasional scenery. Long coastal routes through the Keys can make bridges, marinas and safe boat access part of planning rather than decorative background detail. The contrast between public city spaces and isolated inland routes gives the story room to alter pace without leaving the same state.

A route may depend on bridges, marinas and weather in ways that do not apply inside the city grid. Boats can become practical transport in the Keys and Grassrivers, while dense traffic may make the same journey less useful inside Vice City. The official screenshots establish tone and geography, but they should not be used as proof of unannounced interiors, missions or map dimensions.

Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia show working Leonida

The official material presents areas shaped by industry, local businesses and communities beyond the polished tourist image. Port Gellhorn’s worn commercial spaces can support contacts and conflicts rooted in a community that does not share Vice City’s polished image. Industrial areas can support different stories from beaches or wilderness without requiring every district to offer the same type of side activity.

Those environments can support stories about labour, decline and opportunity without treating the state as one continuous resort. Ambrosia adds another industrial and agricultural side of Leonida, where business and labour can define the reason characters travel there. For now, the six named regions provide a factual outline of Leonida while leaving Rockstar room to reveal activities and routes closer to launch.

Grassrivers changes visibility

Wetlands replace clear street geometry with vegetation, shallow water and paths that may be difficult to read at speed. Grassrivers can make navigation depend on sound, water depth and local knowledge when ordinary road signs no longer provide a complete route. The value of a large state will depend on transitions, because travel should prepare the player for a new social and environmental rhythm.

The region can make sound, elevation and knowledge of a safe route more important than raw vehicle power. Weather, sound and road design can distinguish regions before a title card or map label tells the player where the journey has arrived.

Mount Kalaga extends the state inland

A national park adds rocky terrain and another pace of travel at the edge of the official map. Mount Kalaga can change vehicle choice and visibility while giving the inland edge of Leonida a pace distinct from the coast. Future gameplay demonstrations will need to show how these places connect, because a gallery can confirm appearance but not the full travel experience.

Rockstar has confirmed the region, but not every road or activity, so map-size claims should remain outside a factual preview. Rockstar names these six regions, but the official gallery does not confirm every road, activity or boundary between them.
