Crossplay is not confirmed for GTA 6. Rockstar has not announced any online mode for the game, and without a multiplayer component, crossplay cannot be offered. As of September 1, 2026, the only confirmed content is the single-player campaign.
GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That console split matters, because any future online mode would need to decide whether PlayStation and Xbox players share servers. Rockstar has said nothing on that question. Reports about a separate online mode, sometimes called “GTA Online 2,” are speculation, not fact.
What is known: Rockstar acquired Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, in 2023. That acquisition suggests modding and custom servers could return in some form, but no tools or server infrastructure for GTA 6 have been announced. Crossplay between console and PC also depends on a PC version, which does not exist yet and has no release window.
Expect an official statement only when Rockstar reveals the online mode. Until then, treat any crossplay claim as a rumour.
