GTA 6 arrives with no online mode included on day one. The game releases on November 19, 2026 as a single-player experience on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced any separate online component, neither for launch day nor for a later date.
All talk of a “GTA Online 2” is speculation. Rockstar has said nothing about multiplayer, co-op, or persistent online worlds for GTA 6. The company did buy Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM and RedM, back in 2023, but no modding tools or custom server support for GTA 6 have been announced.
That leaves the future open, but unconfirmed. If history is any guide, Grand Theft Auto Online launched two weeks after GTA V in 2013, so a separate online release is plausible. Yet Rockstar has stayed silent on this, and with less than three months to launch, any delay in an announcement would push a multiplayer mode well into 2027 at the earliest. Treat every rumor about it as exactly that.
