Rockstar has yet to verify cross-platform functionality for GTA 6 multiplayer, a mode that itself has not been officially revealed. The game launches November 19, 2026 as a single-player experience only. Any talk of “GTA Online 2” or its features, including crossplay, is pure speculation.
What we do know: Grand Theft Auto V’s GTA Online never supported crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Rockstar kept each platform separate. There is no official word that GTA 6 will break that pattern. The Cfx.re acquisition in 2023, which brought FiveM and RedM under Rockstar’s umbrella, has produced no announced tools for GTA 6 servers or mods.
If crossplay does come, it would likely be announced alongside the online mode itself. Rockstar has not given a date, a feature list, or even a name for that mode. Until they do, treat any crossplay claims as rumour.
What crossplay would take
- No online mode announced at launch
- No crossplay confirmed for any platform
- PC version not dated, so crossplay with PC is moot
